Healthcare should be about more than a number.
Care is telehealth only, and you must be physically located in Texas at the time of each visit.

I built Purelivity because I wanted to practice medicine differently.
Too often, healthcare becomes about treating a number, writing a prescription, or moving on to the next patient. And in the wellness industry, it can be even worse — the newest hormone, peptide, supplement, or protocol becomes something to sell simply because people are asking for it.
That’s not how I practice.
A lab result is not a diagnosis.
My job is to look at your symptoms, your history, your labs, your lifestyle, and your goals together to figure out what may actually be holding you back — and what we can do about it.
Sometimes the answer is treatment. Sometimes it’s changing how you’re already being treated. And sometimes the right answer is that you don’t need a prescription at all.

Why I built Purelivity
I wanted to create the kind of healthcare experience I believe people deserve: evidence-based, transparent, personal, and focused not only on how you feel today, but on protecting your health for the future.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all medicine.
Two people can have the same lab result and need completely different approaches. That’s why treatment at Purelivity starts with understanding the person behind the numbers.
The goal isn’t simply to get a lab value into a certain range.
It’s to find out what’s been holding you back and determine whether there’s a safe, evidence-based way to help you feel better, perform better, and protect your long-term health.
My philosophy
There is no shortcut around the fundamentals.
I believe in strength training to maintain muscle, function, and independence as we age. Cardiovascular health matters. Nutrition matters. Sleep, recovery, and consistency matter.
Medication can also be incredibly valuable when it’s used for the right person and the right reason. But no hormone, injection, supplement, or prescription replaces the foundation.
Evidence over hype
The wellness industry is full of the next big thing — a new peptide, supplement, hormone, or protocol promising to fix something you didn’t even know was wrong with you.
You won’t find snake oil here. If the evidence isn’t there, I’m not interested in selling it to you.
I won’t prescribe something simply because it’s popular, profitable, or because another clinic is offering it.
I want to know:
- Does the evidence support it?
- Does it make sense for you?
- What are the potential benefits?
- What are the risks?
- And would I make the same recommendation if you were someone in my own family?
If the answer isn’t yes, I’m not going to sell it to you.
Sometimes good medicine means prescribing the right treatment.
Sometimes it means changing the treatment you’re already receiving.
And sometimes good medicine means telling you that you don’t need another medication at all.

Tessa Rydberg, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Purelivity Wellness was founded by Tessa Rydberg, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, with the belief that health, wellness, and longevity should be evidence-based, transparent, and centered on prevention and long-term health — not quick prescriptions. A board-certified family nurse practitioner, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her master’s degree from the University of Maryland.
Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, urgent care, and family practice, giving her a broad foundation in both acute and long-term patient care. She specializes in men’s hormone optimization, medically supported weight management, healthy aging, fitness, and nutrition.
Purelivity Wellness is a Texas telehealth practice offering two focused services — men’s hormone optimization and medical weight loss for men and women — built around honest evaluation, education, and ongoing clinical relationships rather than one-size-fits-all prescriptions.
